History of KCDC

KCDC Textile & Vocational Institute, under the Ministry of Industries & Production, Government of Pakistan, commenced its journey in 2009 with a steadfast commitment to empower marginalized communities, particularly women & minorities living in Pakistan, through skill development initiatives.

Accredited by the Technical Training & Vocational Authority (TEVTA) of the Government of Punjab, KCDC is a registered institute with the National Training Bureau (NTB) and is affiliated with the National Vocational Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) of Pakistan.

Since inception, KCDC has been unwavering in its mission to bolster Pakistan's textile sector and provide vocational training to rural communities. Regarded as one of the leading Training Service Providers (TSPs) in the country, KCDC has exhibited dedication in offering vocational trainings across diverse sectors, aiming to equip neglected segments of society with essential skills, knowledge, and practical awareness for sustainable livelihoods.

Throughout its journey, KCDC has collaborated with renowned entities such as TEVTA, NAVTTC, WORLD BANK, UNDP, UNICEF & Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), to elevate the technical skills of Pakistan's workforce.

Notably, KCDC spearheads the execution of the Hunermand Baluchistan Program, initiated by the Government of Baluchistan through the Social Welfare Department. This program, operational in 12 districts of Baluchistan, has successfully trained over 2500 students, with a special 50% allocation for women, transgenders & minorities. Impressively, KCDC boasts a 99% pass rate for its students in the National Testing Bureau (NTB) examinations conducted by the Government of Pakistan.

KCDC's operational footprint spans across Baluchistan and South Punjab, with its headquarters situated in Multan and various industrial training and production centers strategically located in Multan, Khanewal, DG Khan, and Taunsa. The institute's presence and initiatives have significantly impacted these regions, fostered skill development and created avenues for socio-economic growth.
